Arccos Sensor Lifespan: How Long They Last & When to Replace Them
Wondering how long your Arccos sensors will last? Learn about battery life, durability, and replacement options to keep your game on track.
Arccos Smart Sensors use a permanent, non-rechargeable battery that's designed to last approximately 4–5 years under normal use. Each sensor includes a two-year warranty from the date of purchase. Proper storage during the off season is imperative for sensor battery health. Please store your clubs in a climate controlled environment and try to avoid extreme heat and cold when able.
What Affects Sensor Battery Life
A few factors can shorten a sensor's battery life below the typical 4–5 year range:
Frequency of use — more rounds and range sessions, and more shots tracked, draw down the battery faster than occasional play.
Sensor care and storage — sensors that sit at the bottom of a golf bag are more exposed to repeated impact, pressure, and moisture, which can accelerate wear and battery drain.
Installation — make sure a sensor screws into the club straight, not at an angle. An angled installation can cause a poor seat or connection and lead to premature battery drain or an unresponsive sensor.
How to Check If Your Sensors Are Working
To ensure your sensors are paired and functioning properly, we recommend running Sensor Diagnostics in the Arccos app.
iOS - Go to Player -> Settings -> Sensor Diagnostics (or Clubs -> Tap Sensor Diagnostic button in top left corner) and test each sensor in your bag
Android - Hamburger Menu (☰) -> Sensor Diagnostics (or Settings -> Sensor Diagnostics) and test each sensor in your bag
Replacing a Sensor
If a sensor stops working after the warranty period, you can purchase a replacement (screw-in or embedded) through our website.
