What can I do if my satellite images are outdated? Follow
If the scorecard and course layout are accurate, but the course image needs updating (e.g., due to cloud cover, construction, snow, or course renovations), please email Starter@arccosgolf.com or submit a request.
We rely on third-party map providers (Apple Maps and Google Maps) to supply course images. If the images are already up-to-date, we can make the update for you right away. However, if the images are outdated, we will report the issue to Apple and Google in hopes of getting a new, updated image as soon as possible.

How to Request an Updated Map from Apple
1. Open Apple Maps
- Open the Apple Maps app on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
2. Locate the Area to Update
- Search for the location or area on the map that needs an update. You can either search by address, business name, or scroll to the location manually.
3. Report an Issue on iPhone or iPad
- After finding the location, swipe up on the location's information card (the one that shows details such as the name, address, and phone number).
- Scroll down and tap "Report an Issue".
Note: If you can’t see the "Report an Issue" button, it may be because the location is not eligible for corrections or because it's not available for updates via Apple Maps.
4. Select the Type of Issue
-
Once you tap “Report an Issue”, you'll be prompted to choose the type of problem you're reporting. These are typically options like:
- Map error (e.g., wrong location, missing information)
- Wrong pin placement
- Place closed or moved
- Wrong details (name, address, etc.)
- Missing place
5. Provide Additional Details
- If necessary, provide additional details describing the problem.
- You can also add a photo if it helps clarify the issue.
6. Submit the Request
- After you’ve selected the issue and added any relevant information, tap “Send” to submit your update request.
7. Track the Status of Your Request
- Apple doesn’t always notify users when a change has been made, but you can follow up by checking if the update has been reflected on the map. You may also see that Apple updates its maps in waves, so it may take a few weeks for changes to appear.
8. Report via Mac (MacOS 10.15 or later):
- Open Apple Maps on your Mac.
- Right-click on the map location and select “Report an Issue” from the drop-down menu.
- Select the type of issue, provide details, and submit the report.
Important Notes:
- Apple’s Map Update Process: Apple will review submitted reports and take action when they deem it appropriate, but they do not guarantee that all submissions will result in immediate updates.
- Accuracy: When submitting a report, try to be as specific as possible about what needs changing. Providing accurate details will help Apple review your request more efficiently.
Golf Course specific: You can also contact Apple Support via the Apple Support website or Apple Maps Feedback directly.
