Yes. You can still use your smartphone during a round if you choose.
Arccos Air does not require you to keep your phone in your pocket while playing, but the Arccos app can still be used during the round if you want to view course information, check distances, or review shots as they are recorded.
Many golfers choose to start the round in the app and then put their phone away, allowing Arccos Air to automatically track shots during play. Others prefer to occasionally check the app for additional information while they play.
What You Can Do in the App During a Round
If you decide to use your smartphone during the round, the Arccos app provides several tools that can help you navigate the course and understand your performance.
During play, you can:
- View hole maps and course layouts to better understand the shape of the hole and nearby hazards
- Check distances to the front, center, and back of the green
- Set pin locations to improve the accuracy of putting and approach statistics
- Review recorded shots as they appear during the round
You can also access additional features that provide more insight into the course and your decision-making.
Green Maps
Green Maps show the elevation and contour patterns of the green. These maps help you better understand slopes and potential break when reading putts, while also showing safe approach areas on the putting surface.
AI Strategy
AI Strategy uses your historical shot data along with the course layout to recommend optimal targets during the round. By analyzing factors such as your typical distances and shot dispersion patterns, the system helps guide smarter decisions off the tee and on approach shots.
If You Prefer Not to Use Your Phone
Using the app during the round is optional.
Many golfers simply start the round in the Arccos app and then put their phone away for the remainder of the round. Arccos Air will continue detecting and recording shots automatically while you play.
After the round is complete, you can open the app to review your shots and explore the performance insights generated from your round data.
