How Do I Change My Goal Handicap?

Your goal handicap tells the app what level you're aiming for, and it shapes how your Strokes Gained and "Where to Focus" recommendations are calculated — so keeping it accurate means getting the most relevant insights for your game.

To change your goal handicap

1. Open the Player tab from the bottom navigation bar.

2. Tap the goal handicap indicator in the upper right corner of the screen.

3. Use the slider to select your target handicap.

4. Tap Save.

Your Strokes Gained breakdown and "Where to Focus" section will update to reflect what you need to improve to reach your new goal.

What should I set my goal handicap to?

Set it to the handicap you're genuinely working toward — not where you are today. If you're a 12 handicap shooting for single digits, set it to 8 or 9. The goal handicap is what the app uses to calculate Strokes Gained, so setting it too close to your current level won't push you toward the right improvements. A goal that's achievable but requires real progress will give you the most useful recommendations.
