Traditional game tracking systems rely on sensors installed in the grip of each club to detect shots and identify which club was used. Arccos Air removes the need for this hardware by detecting swings through a wearable device instead.
Tracking Shots Without Club Hardware
When a shot is taken, the Arccos Air device detects the motion of the swing and records the shot location using GPS and course mapping data.
From there, the system records information such as:
- Where the shot occurred on the course
- How far the shot traveled
- The location of the next shot
This data forms the foundation of the round analysis shown in the Arccos app.
Adding Sensors for More Club Detail
Although sensors are not required, Arccos Air is fully compatible with Arccos Smart Sensors.
With sensors installed:
- Shots are detected automatically
- The exact club used is identified automatically
Sensors provide additional club-level insights but are not required to track your rounds with Arccos Air.
