Why do I need to give Arccos access to my phone's microphone and location? Follow
Arccos Caddie uses a variety of your smartphone’s features to precisely detect your shots and its location.
The app requires access to the phone’s microphone because the Arccos sensors communicate to the phone via a high pitch frequency. This is how the app knows when a shot was taken and what club was used.
Location services is necessary. The setting must be set to Always so that we can locate your shots while the phone is locked and in your pocket (i.e. when the app is in the background).
Note: Arccos Caddie will not track your location or use your microphone when the Arccos application is not being used.
