Link, Link Pro, and Air all refer to the same product line. Air is the current and newest branding for this product.
Hardware & Naming History
- Link Pro and Arccos Air are the same hardware.
- A software update removed the requirement for sensors on this device, which is what prompted the rename from Link Pro to Air.
- The original Link Gen 1 & 2 devices predate this update and are no longer sold on Arccos storefronts. Existing Link devices remain fully functional with the app and still require sensors.
Playing With or Without Sensors
With the Air update, you can choose to play with sensors or without them:
With Sensors
Each sensor independently identifies which club was used and communicates this to the system.
Without Sensors (Smart Club Selection Enabled)
The system estimates which club was used based on smart distances, historical data, and stock yardages.
Without Sensors (Smart Club Selection Disabled)
Shots are still recorded with a yardage, but the club used is not automatically tagged. You'll need to tag the club manually.
