Arccos is an on-course tracking system and artificial intelligence caddie!
Arccos sensors are shot impact detectors. Once they are installed on your clubs, they detect impacts when you hit a golf ball. Here is how:
-
Each Arccos Smart Sensor has a unique transmitter inside of it. These transmitters pair to your phone (much like how a mobile phone pairs to a car and allows hands-free calling through a car stereo). On the course, the Smart Sensors act as shot impact detectors.
-
The shot detection device you've selected (Phone, Arccos Link, or Apple Watch) listens for the sensors; when a sensor detects an impact, it sends a signal to the shot detection method you’re using. That signal says something like, "I'm a 7-iron and I just hit a shot."
-
When your phone, Arccos Link, or Apple Watch receives a signal from a particular club, it uses its GPS capability to make a note of exactly where that shot occurred. The Arccos app then overlays that data onto a map of the hole you're playing. Arccos knows where the fairway and green and bunkers are located, so it knows how to categorize your shot as a drive, approach, chip, putt, etc.
-
The Arccos app then categorizes your shot location and club used and analyzes your game for you. Providing Strokes Gained Analytics, Smart Distances, and even a personal A.I. Caddie
Because Arccos utilizes the GPS functionality of the phone, Arccos Link, or Apple Watch to know where you hit your shots from, it is imperative that you keep the shot detection device you’ll be using on your person when you play.
