Below you'll find warranty coverage details, troubleshooting tips, and replacement information for each Arccos product.
Smart Sensors — 2-Year Warranty
What's Covered
- Sensor won't pair or is unresponsive after troubleshooting steps have been tried
- Sensor broke or fell apart during normal use
- Inconsistent shot detection where a hardware issue is confirmed after troubleshooting
What's Not Covered
- Sensors more than 2 years past the purchase date
- Damage caused by misuse, modification, or third-party grip incompatibility
Troubleshooting Before Requesting a Replacement
- Remove the protective black sticker if it's a new sensor.
- Flip the grip/sensor down for 15 seconds, then flip it back up in good natural light to reset and re-pair.
- Run Club Diagnostics (Clubs page → wrench icon → Club Diagnostics) to check whether each sensor is active, paired, and has sufficient battery.
Warranty Verification & Replacement Process
- No proof of purchase is required beyond your order number.
- The email used to purchase your sensor doesn't need to match the email on your current account.
- A defective sensor does not need to be returned.
- Warranty replacements ship free of charge.
- If the wrong sensor type is shipped by mistake, a correct replacement will be sent — you're welcome to keep the incorrect one.
Out-of-Warranty Replacements
Individual sensor sales are not available, with the exception of the putter sensor, which can be purchased on its own. Out-of-warranty replacements can be purchased as a full bundle, 3-pack, or 5-pack here: Shop Smart Sensors
Lost Sensors
Lost sensors are not covered under warranty.
Sensor Battery Facts
- Batteries are built-in, non-rechargeable, and light-activated.
- Expected lifespan is approximately 4–5 years under normal use.
- Batteries are not user-replaceable — a depleted battery means the sensor itself needs to be replaced.
- Sensor types include twist-in (screw-in), embedded, and putter sensors, available in standard colors and a limited-time "Smoke" option offered periodically.
Smart Laser Rangefinder — 1-Year Warranty
What's Covered
- Display issues, such as missing lines, illegible numbers, or a non-functioning digital readout
- Device completely unresponsive after a battery replacement has been tried
- Manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship
What's Not Covered
- Drops, water damage, sun/heat exposure, or cosmetic wear
- Unauthorized modification
- Loss or theft
Battery Information
- The Smart Laser uses a CR2 3V lithium battery, which is user-replaceable.
- Expected battery life is approximately 6–12 months under normal use.
To replace the battery: remove the compartment cap on the bottom of the device, remove the old battery, insert a new CR2 3V battery with the positive (+) side facing out, and replace the cap.
Note: The two metal battery contacts inside the compartment can sometimes lose proper contact. Gently lifting them with a small flathead screwdriver, or cleaning them, can often resolve this.
Firmware Updates: A firmware update (version 1.40+) resolved a known battery-drain issue. You can check your firmware version and update availability at Settings → Smart Laser Diagnostics. Firmware updates are typically forced before a round begins.
Removing a Smart Laser from the App
- iOS: Player → Settings (gear icon) → Diagnostics → Smart Laser Diagnostics → Clear saved device
- Android: Hamburger Menu → Diagnostics → Smart Laser Diagnostics → Clear saved device
Serial Number
Your Smart Laser's serial number is located on the underside of the device or near the battery compartment. This is needed if your unit ever needs to be disassociated from your account, such as in a lost or stolen replacement scenario.
Arccos Air — 1-Year Warranty
Note: Link Pro, and Air all refer to the same product line and are now referred to simply as "Air." Link Pro and Air are identical hardware — a software update removed the sensor requirement and prompted the rebrand. The original Link device predates this update, is no longer sold, but remains fully functional and still requires sensors.
What's Covered
- Device not holding a charge
- Inconsistent shot detection due to a confirmed hardware issue
- Charging case defects (e.g., a case that magnetically rejects the device)
Battery Facts
- The device holds up to 2 rounds per charge.
- The charging case holds enough charge for up to 12 rounds total before it needs to be recharged itself.
- Charging is done via the included USB-C charging case.
How to Charge Your Air Device
- Place the device in the case with the LED side facing you — orientation matters.
- The power switch on the device must be in the OFF position when placed in the case. If left on, the device will automatically shut off, and the switch will need to be manually toggled off and back on.
- 4 LEDs on the case will illuminate when a charging connection is made, and turn off automatically once fully charged.
- Charge indoors at room temperature — heat (e.g., a hot car) can stop the charging process.
- To check the charging case's battery level, press the side button on the case. The LEDs will show the remaining charge: 1 light is the lowest level, 4 lights is fully charged.
Common Charging Issues
- Contacts on the device or inside the case can become obstructed, preventing a connection.
- If the device doesn't respond after 30+ minutes connected to power, or the case shows no LED activity, the device may not be seated properly.
- A device that won't turn on can sometimes be resolved with a full drain reset (unplugged for 24 hours, then reconnected) or a hard reset (hold the power button 10–15 seconds until the lights blink).
