Facing issues starting a round with your Arccos Air? Follow the steps below to identify common causes and get your round started successfully.
Step 1: Confirm your membership and bag setup
To start a round with Arccos, you must have:
- An active or trialing Arccos membership
- At least 8 clubs and 1 putter input in your bag
You can check your bag setup in the Clubs tab > wrench icon (top right) > manage club
If your bag does not meet these requirements, the round may not start properly.
Step 2: Check for incompatible sensors
Certain legacy sensors are not compatible with Arccos Air.
If you have one of the following paired to your bag, it may prevent the round from starting:
- 1st Generation Bluetooth Arccos Sensors
- Arccos Driver Sensor
Remove these sensors from your bag in the app before attempting to start a round.
Step 3: Allow time for GPS signal
Arccos Air needs a strong GPS signal before starting a round.
To ensure proper GPS connection:
- Turn on your Arccos Air device 5–10 minutes before teeing off
- Keep the device in an area with a clear view of the sky
This allows the device to establish a stable satellite connection before the round begins.
Step 4: Check GPS strength in diagnostics
You can verify GPS connectivity within the Arccos app.
To check GPS signal:
- Connect your Arccos Air device
- Open the Arccos Air Diagnostics page
The maximum number of satellites that can connect is 30. A stronger satellite connection helps ensure accurate round tracking.
Step 5: Verify your phone’s date and time settings
Your phone and Arccos Air must be synchronized to start a round properly.
To confirm this:
- Open your phone’s Settings
- Navigate to Date & Time
- Ensure Set Automatically is enabled
If the date or time is incorrect, the round may fail to start.
Step 6: Restart your phone if the issue continues
If the round still will not start:
- Restart your smartphone
- Reopen the Arccos app
- Try starting the round again
Restarting your device can refresh Bluetooth and GPS connections.
