Arccos Smart Laser is designed to feel familiar if you’ve used a rangefinder before — but smarter at every step. Here’s what using it on the course typically looks like:
Step 1: Start Your Round in the Arccos App
Before you tee off, open the Arccos app and start your round. This enables Smart Laser features that rely on the app connection (like AI Strategy and Green Maps) and ensures your conditions and course context are up to date.
Step 2: Confirm Smart Laser Is Connected
With Bluetooth enabled on your phone, your Smart Laser will connect automatically once it’s powered on. When connected, Smart Laser is checked under Accessories before teeing off.
Step 3: Range Your Target Like a Traditional Rangefinder
Aim at your target — flag, layup zone, bunker edge — and range it just as you would with a traditional rangefinder. Ranging the flag will automatically set the pin location in your Arccos app, so you no longer need to manually adjust the pin using your shot detection method.
In the viewfinder, you’ll see your adjusted “Plays Like” distance.
Inside the Arccos app, Smart Distance is broken down further so you can understand exactly how the yardage was calculated. The app shows how each factor contributes to the final number, including:
- Slope
- Wind speed and direction
- Temperature
- Humidity
- Altitude
This gives you full transparency into how the shot is expected to play — not just a line-of-sight measurement, but a data-informed distance based on real conditions.
Step 4: Use Strategy Guidance When You Want It
When paired with the Arccos app and an active subscription, Smart Laser unlocks additional intelligence mid-round:
- AI Strategy to recommend optimal targets based on your game
- Green Maps to help plan approach shots and putting strategy
- Live condition adjustments, including wind-aware “Plays Like” distances
You can choose how much you engage — quick ranging still works, but the added intelligence is available whenever you want it.
