Smart Laser Rangefinder delivers its most advanced functionality when an active round is started in the Arccos app.
Starting a round allows the app to:
- Load the correct course
- Sync real-time conditions
- Enable AI Strategy and Green Maps
- Support accurate Pin Arc placement
Before You Tee Off
To ensure Smart Laser Rangefinder features are fully active:
- Open the Arccos app
- Select your course
- Confirm Smart Laser Rangefinder is listed under the Accessories section
- Make sure Smart Laser Rangefinder is checked
- Tap Start Round
If Smart Laser Rangefinder is not checked under Accessories, connected features will not activate.
What Happens If You Don’t Start a Round?
If a round is not started or Smart Laser Rangefinder is not enabled under Accessories:
- You may see “Launch Arccos App” prompts
- App-connected features may not activate
- Wind-adjusted “Plays Like” distances may not display
Starting a round ensures:
- Real-time conditions are loaded
- Smart Laser Rangefinder is fully synced
- All subscription features are available
